Nickname: Relapse
Breed: Dutch Warmblood
Gender: Stallion
Age: 4
Season Born: Summer
Year Created: 1
Description:
Relapse has a strong, lean, stocky build. A deep chest and long legs are the most noticable feature. His pelt is a deep charcoal black with an over pattern of white that travel over his shoulders, legs, croup, and chest in sharply defined patterns. He has a strong, muscular build with a rectangular shape that is standard for his breed. His tail is often held high along with his neck. His man is cut short, but is beginning to grow back. This makes it appear unruly considering some sections are longer than the other. There is the barest tuft of mane behind his ears that is the length his mane was before it began to grow out.
His ears are said to be permanantly glued to his skull, or curled in a curious or irrtated manner. His mane is pure ebony with the section that curls over his shoulder, pure white. His tail is pure white with the smallest streak of black along the back. His hind legs are pure white and connect to the curved pattern of white along his croup. His front legs are simple white stockings with dark colored hooves. His eyes are a deep, chocolate brown with flecks of gold and lighter brown, giving it a honey colored hue.
Weight: 1430lbs
Height: 16.2hh
Personality:
Relapse is a very solitary and temperamental stallion. He has been called a demon and is forever deemed untrainable. He is very independant and snotty. He deems himself a God in his own mind. He cares little for those around him and has a violent temper. He keeps his ears glued to his skull and his head high. He has a cold demeanor and a ruthless temper. He likes to push the limits of others for his own pleasure. He's deeply hot headed and is an extreme flirt. He has been known to chase another stallion's mate and caused a fight over quite a few mares. He isn't one to actually settle down so he strings along as many mares as he can. He's a big show off and will do anything to get all eyes on him. He's the jealous type and throws fits when he's ignored. He's not exactly social, unless you count squealing and bucking just to get attention, social. He's not very pleasant to be around, but once he truly feels love for someone or deems someone worthy, he's the most loyal friend and the most devoted lover any horse could have.
History:
Relapse was born wild. His dam was actually raised on a ranch. But soon after he was born, his Sire came for him and broke him out of the ranch. He was raised by his Sire, learning how to fend for himself in the wild. He would follow his Sire to visit his dam, but only at night. He had a deep bond with his dam, but knew he wasn't meant for a tame life. His sire kept him in contact with his dam, but it was only short meetings. He was raised in a heard of a little more than ten horses. The herd was small and kept to themselves, helping to raise their own. Relapse was raised a warrior and leader. He lead the herd alongside his sire. Relapse had no siblings that he knew of and ruled with an iron fist. Though soon he broke away to travel on his own and create his own herd.
He lives on his own, fending for himself. He is the mirror image of his sire, inheriting his ruthless, cold demeanor, but harboring a deep devotion and love for whoever he would choose to give his heart to. He grew up taking the "every horse for themselves" motto to heart. His sire trained him to be cold and brutal to get his way and with the same temperment of the wild, violent stallion, Relapse was a force ro be reckoned with. To this day he travels alone, looking for a mate to start his own herd with.
Sample Post:
A heavy snort forced it's way from the dark ebony and ivory laced stallion. He stood atop a hill, overlooking a valley where a small band of horses grazed. Dark, smoldering honey colored orbs studied them, envying their easygoing ways. He had no time nor patience to deal with such a worthless band of closely knitted horses. Most seemed to be related by the looks of things. Fires of jealousy burned within his deep chest as another snort forced it's way through his nostrols. He shook his head and turned from the scene. That's what he needed, it's what he was sent away to do. He wanted it, yet at the same time he didn't. His mind was conflicted with his destiny and his desires. He was destined to start his own herd, but he desired the feeling of being a lone wanderer. It was far less stressful than watching over a herd of his own kin.
His receptors laid pinned to his narrow skull as he turned to look back. Rage burned in his eyes, he had lead a band of horses with his sire. He knew how to lead, he was taught everything his sire knew. He desire to be alone prevented him from continuing his search. He began to pace left and right along the hill. He tossed his head with a frustrated squeal and dug his hooves into the earth. This alerted some of the mares that grazed nearest the hill. He eyed them, warily, catching sight of a certain cremello mare. She watched him, receptors curled in curiosity. He locked eyes with her, but backed off when the lead stallion appeared. He charged toward the mare and moved in front of her, eyes blazing. He stared the grullo brute down, then turned his attention to the mare.
She had her tail flicked up and was whinnying to the leader, trying to convince him to back down. The stallion took to nipping at her and nudging her back toward the herd. The mare wouldn't budge, so he nipped at her mane, making small noises in an attempt to charm her. Relapse looked on in disgust. He snorted at them and turned away from the courtship, rage and jealousy burning within his gut and chest. He heard the high pitched whinny of the mare and lowered his head, trying hard not to look her way. He chanced a glance back to see that a chestnut mare had approached the lead stallion, whinnying and nudging him to get his attention. The stallion grew tired of the mare and went to chase the new mare.
Hope flashed in Relapse's eyes, watching the cremello mare to see how she'd react. The mare turned back to her heard, then looked up at Relapse. He unpinned his ears, watching her with slight amusement. She snorted and started up the hill toward him. He reacted quickly, igniting a loud, forceful neigh, forcing the mare to stop in her tracks out of fear. Relapse wasn't above stealing horses, especially one so captivating. He pinned his ears back and turned away from the shy mare. He began to walk away, continuing on his search. Little did he know, the mare wasn't too far behind, hoping to get to know him better. Little did she know, she was in for a wild ride, one she may not be ready for.
