Knightess
The world was moving fast and Knightess found it hard to keep up with the pace, sure her strong pillars propelled her form with ease, but it still turned to fast. Things happened too quickly there hardly was every time for a reaction. You had to prepare yourself for these things though and Knightess was nothing if not prepared.
For a long while Kightess traveled in front in silence, ears on full alert as she lead the way to....somewhere? She wasn't even sure. The land was beautiful and the lack of fallen trees and large rocks made it much easier to navigate. She thought her feet were never going to forgive her for that part of the trip ever. Pausing she stopped and waited on her brother, she didn't have to wait long because he too was finding this territory much easier to traverse. "I believe I can smell the ocean Seeker." In joy she took off after the roar of the waves crashing against the shore and upon reaching it let them wash over her white pelt while she played. "Come on!" This was so much fun!
Dragon
Sorrel painted stud stepped one hoof in front of the other both hearing and smelling his surroundings. Each vibration on the earth and in the sky told him where he was. He knew he was walking across and grassy meadow with loose powdery sand beneath it. He knew the sun was out when he felt it's warn caress tingle his spine making him shiver in delight and of course he knew what he most often needed to know. Exactly where Knightess was. Her scent meant many things to him and he never lost track of it.
Feeling braver Dragon trotted forward after her listening to Knightess's hoof beats thrumming up ahead and he even heard her pause, waiting for him to catch up. Tilting his head he caught her lyrics. Of course his name was Dragon but he and his sister had nicknames for eachother and his was Seeker. She was called Keeper by him because tha'ts exactly what she was, his keeper. Pricking his ears at the feeling of the soft sand and the roar of the waves he took off at an easy gallop straight for the water. When he reached it he turned and ran parallel with them letting them splash him while he took it all in. The slope of the land to the sea allowed him to 'see' where he need to go so as not to head to far out. In joy he kicked his heals and raced across the waves with Knightess. Theirs was a joy to behold as the ran and played in the sparkling waves. To look at him you almost wouldn't be able to tell Dragon was blind unless you noticed the slightly tilted head always listening and the high knee carriage with which he traveled.
